This person had some kind of rhinoplasty elsewhere years ago.  This is called a pollybeak deformity
After revision surgery, a tip graft was necessary.
Before surgery, a dorsal hump deformity.
After surgery.  The tip is the highest point on the nose.  No implant is used except a tip graft.

After augmentation rhinoplasty with a nasal implant.  See how the nose begins at the upper eyelid.  The tip is well defined and is still the highest point on the nose.
Previous rhinoplasty done elsewhere, using gortex and ear carilage.  Over time, the ear cartilage becomes sharp and artificial.  The profile is not pleasing.
After revision rhinoplasty.  The tip looks normal and soft,  yet projected and defined.  The profile is aesthetically more pleasing.  and augmented.

Previous rhinoplasty done FOUR TIMES BY A BOARD CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGEON.  Chopped off looking nasal tip and collumella.
After revision rhinoplasty, everything was removed and re-done .  The nose looks longer and normal at the base.
Common nasal deformity.  Dorsal hump with drooping, short tip.
After open rhinoplasty. The hump is reduced.  The tip is projected and rotated.  Look at the angle of the nose at the lip.

Nasal deformity.  This patient did not want the nose to be made taller, she just wanted the bump gone.

Another example of previous rhinoplasty done elsewhere using gortex and ear cartilage.  Over time, the ear graft becomes visible and sharply outlined.
After revision rhinoplasty.  Everything had to be redone.  Lesson is, just because a doctor is using ear graft doesn't mean it's going to look good.

Nasal deformity from previous rhinoplasty done elsewhere from a board certified plastic surgeon.  The gortex implant used on the bridge looks fake and there is a step-off where it ends at the tip.
After revision surgery.  Everything is removed and re-done with a silastic implant.
